Smart Cycle
It's not even Thanksgiving and I'm already hearing that some people are having a hard time finding this one, so it's bound to be one of the hot toys of 2007. But what exactly is a smart cycle and why should you put one under the tree?
If you need a gift for a child between the ages of 3 and 6 years and you don't mind forking out about $100, this is the gift for you. You plug this “bicycle” into the television and suddenly your child has a combination exercise bike/video game. It's the perfect way to get them off the couch and exercising while enjoying a fun video activity.
The Furreal Friends Parrot
When the original Furreal Friends cats came out they were impossible to get. This year's parrot may prove to be the same as it looks like it's going to be one of the hot toys of 2007. This robot macaw by the same company looks like the real deal, responds to a child's touch and can even repeat words just like a real parrot. However, it's not cheap with a price tag of about $70. Maybe that will keep more on the shelves.
We Want Wii
Last year the Nintendo Wii was impossible to get. In fact, it still is. A full year later and the Wii is still flying off shelves faster than the stores can stock them. That's going to make it one of the hot toys of 2007. It's very rare that a toy is on the madness list two years in a row, but the Wii may be the exception.
Pizza Elmo
First there was Tickle Me Elmo, then Elmo TMX, now it's Pizza Elmo. Once again Elmo is making the hot toys of 2007 list. Pizza Elmo sings and dances to a song about pizza. At about $25, this is one of the more reasonably-priced toys this holiday season.
So there you have it, some of our picks for the hot toys of 2007. If you want to avoid the lines or disappointment this year, shop ahead of time. Having them in your closet now will ensure they're under the tree next month.
