The Robot Dogs Everyone Is Asking For
Robot Dogs Make Great Gifts
Has man's best friend gone robotic? If the growing demand for robot dogs is any indication, it appears so. If you have any doubts about what the hottest gifts are right now, I'm about to shed some light on the subject... Robot dogs have taken the world by storm and with prices ranging from $20 to $2500, there's one to fit every gift-giver's budget.
Aibo
The king of the robot dogs is Aibo. The original Aibo cost $2,500. The newer versions have dropped to $1500 and the puppies are a mere $850. These dogs can store images, compose music, play with balls and studies have shown they are actually good for your health (much like real dogs). If you don't want to scoop poop, this may be the perfect pet.
iDog
If $850 or more just isn't in your budget, iDog can come to your rescue. As one of the cheaper (albeit not as cute or versatile) robot dogs, iDog is great for those who are on a budget. For $20 iDog will let you play your MP3 player through him and his personality will develop based on the music you "feed" it.
Tekno
If you want something more advanced than the iDog but the extravagence of Aibo just isn't for you, then Tekno may be the robot dog you've been looking for. For about $50 Tekno will express emotion through body language and react to his environment and you can translate Tekno's barks with the Tekno translator. When it comes to robot dogs, I personally think Tekno gives you the most bang for your buck.
So whether it be for Easter, birthdays or even this upcoming Christmas (it's not even summer yet and I'm talking Christmas) you might want to keep robot dogs on the radar.
