The Gift of Time
Sometimes Time is the Best Gift of All
You know that person who has absolutely everything? The one that's impossible to buy a gift for? I bet there's one thing they can use more of. In fact, I can almost guarantee it. As much as one person may have, they can't buy time and time is a gift you may actually be able to give. It's just a matter of creativity and inspiration.A Woman's (or Man's) Work is Never Done
My poor mother-in-law may have everything her heart desires, but the one thing she doesn't have is time. In addition to working full time and still having a teenage daughter at home she has to take care of her husband, household and pets. Yes, time is a gift this woman can really appreciate. But how do you give the gift of time? Here's some ideas.Poop Patrol
Okay, it sounds disgusting, but it works. If you have a gift recipient who is short on time and dreads the task of picking up after the dog in the yard, then hiring a professional pooper scooper for a few weeks may be the best gift this person gets all year.I have a friend with 2 retrievers and she HATES doing the doody working the yard. This year I paid for 6 weeks of poopy pick-up (at $14 a week, it was a steal) and she's got more than a month of not having to clean up after Fifi or Fido.
Kiss Laundry Day Goodbye
Is your gift recipient falling behind on laundry? Steal their clothes, but only for a day. Grab all of the clothes in the hampers throughout the entire house and take it to the local launderer. The gift of clean, neatly folded clothes is one any man or woman can appreciate. What's Cooking?
After a hard day's work, who wants to cook dinner? Pre-made meals, like those by Dinner by Design, make a fabulous gift for the over-worked and over-stressed gift recipient.
Remember, time is one thing we can't reproduce, but if you're a creative gift giver you can free up some of your recipient's day so they can make what time they have time of their own.
