Helpful Tips on Giving and Wrapping Presents
Presentation Is Key When It Comes To Giving Presents
Did anyone ever tell you that the wrapping on presents doesn’t matter -- it’s the thought that counts? Don’t believe it for a minute. The way a gift looks prior to opening it sets the tone for the entire gift experience.
First Impressions Count
No matter what anyone says, how you package a present is extremely important. It is definitely the attention to little details that can make all the difference.
Small add-on items secured to the top outside wrapping make for a good presentation. If you are giving someone a journal or day planner as a gift, then on the outside of the box attach a new pen to the present. This also serves to give your gift recipient a hint of his or her present without giving it away. This bit of mystery can make gift giving (and receiving) very fun.
Splurge if You Can
Buy the highest quality wrapping paper you can afford. Sure, the wrapping paper will be removed and discarded not long after opening the present, but flimsy wrapping paper is pretty annoying. Nice wrapping paper should definitely be used for more formal occasions such as wedding and anniversary gifts.
Don’t forget to include a gift card, and more importantly, don’t forget to sign it. It would really be a shame if your gift recipient wasn’t sure which of their presents was from you.
The Inside Matters To
Don’t forget to include a gift receipt for your lucky gift recipient. A gift receipt will allow the person to exchange the present, if needed, with no hassle. A gift receipt is also preferable to your purchase receipt because a gift receipt will not display the amount that you paid for the gift. It’s bad form to showcase how much you spent on a present.
