Polly Pocket is a line of small plastic dolls and accessories. You can dress Polly up and even take her for a ride in her own car. She has swimming pools, houses, pets -- everything a little girl could possibly want. Think of it as a miniaturized Barbie (about 2 or 3 inches tall) but more wholesome and innocent.

What Polly Pocket Gifts Are Out There?

There really is a huge variety when it comes to Polly Pocket gifts. You can get the doll with an outfit or two for less than $5 or you can get huge play sets that range in price from $20 to $50 and up. This is one of the more expensive Polly Pocket play sets, retailing at about $70. However, it is definitely the mother of all Polly Pocket toys. With the cruise ship, Polly can swim, parasail, go rock climbing, and, of course, change her clothes so many times any fashion diva would drool. Unlike many of the Polly Pocket play sets that come with just one doll, this one comes with four -- Polly and three of her friends.

Polly Pocket Wild Ride Safari Car

In my experience, this has been one of the most well-received, yet affordable Polly Pocket gift for girls. The Wild Ride Safari Car retails for $14.99 (although you can get it for about $10 if you find it on sale) and it comes with Polly and her friend Rick and two Polly Pocket pets. It's really a great deal.

Of course, when it comes to Polly Pocket and little girls, any play set you give should be a big hit. Girls really do tend to adore Polly Pocket toys.
