With spring here and summer approaching, themed gift ideas involving fruit are a great option. Perhaps you like strawberries (or know someone who does). Strawberries will be in season soon. What better time than now to start planning strawberry-themed gifts?

Imagine creating an entire gift around this fruit. Perhaps, you have a niece who is headed off to college in the fall. You could create a gift ensemble for her that she will definitely be able to use on campus next fall. Buy a shower caddy in red to coordinate with the “strawberry” theme. Purchase strawberry-scented body wash, soap, lotion, and shampoo. Include several soft washcloths in shades of red or pink.

School Spirit

Another great gift giving theme for students headed off to college is to give a gift that revolves around their school colors. Get linens, a toothbrush, some t-shirts and other college must-haves in the colors of the college the student will be attending. Pack it nicely in a gift basket/care package and you've got a present that's sure to be a hit.

Hobbies or Interests?

If your gift recipient has hobbies or interest, it makes the gift giving even easier. If you know someone who likes crossword puzzles, get them a gift basket filled with crossword puzzle magazines and even crossword puzzle software.

The best way to plan a themed gift is to take into consideration the likes and interests of the person you are buying the gift for. Almost any hobby can be adapted into a customized gift idea. It just takes some planning and a bit of creativity to make a themed gift out of virtually any hobby.
