These Last-Minute Christmas Gifts Are Sure to Please
If you still haven't finished all your Christmas shopping I've got some tips for you. Well, first I'm gonna say "I told you so" because I've been warning you for days to get it wrapped up. But then I'll help you with some great last-minute gift ideas. Here are 4 last-minute gifts that are sure to please.
1. Lock De-icers
It's a brilliant gift and even Walgreen's carries them. Let's have a huge round of applause for lock de-icers. I really didn't know how fabulous these little gifts were till my neighbor presented me with one at the most opportune time -- when my locks were frozen.
They're cheap, small enough to stuff in a stocking and something that almost everyone can use (if you live in a cold climate). If you have to get a last-minute gift, these might be the ideal solution.
2. Gift Baskets Galore
Every store and its brother (if stores really had brothers) are selling gift baskets now. Fortunately, it's late enough into the holiday season that these gift baskets can often be found on sale. I personally picked up a fruit basket for a friend for 50-percent off. A $50 basket for $25 is a great gift and a great deal!
3. Just Batteries
Okay, it sounds like a cheap and corny gift, but it's not. You have no idea how many people don't have the batteries they need at the Christmas season (especially if they have kids). I love putting together battery gift baskets. A bunch of AA's, some D's, C's, and AAA's and you've got a gift basket that is going to be appreciated all year round.
4. Candles
If you know someone who loves scented items, candles are the perfect gift. The Yankee Candle company has become my best friend during the holiday season. Tea lights, votives, house warmers – I can't tell you how many great gifts the company makes. And the scents are to die for (most of them anyway).
